Balzan is an Italian driver known for being the two-time IMSA GTD champion. He is ready for his first season in GT since the 2020 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, which he contested with Scuderia Corsa.

Cédric Sbirrazzuoli is a professional driver from Monaco who has enjoyed a successful career. He was the winner of the Trofeo Maserati Europe in 2011 and the following year of the Maserati Trofeo World. In 2015, he also finished second in the American series dedicated to the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand at the wheel of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Meanwhile, he has become a renowned coach and has followed Hugo Delacour in the Ferrari Challenge.

For the GT World Challenge all three drivers will be part of the DLC One racing team for the five long distance races. Sbirrazzuoli and Delacour will team up in the Sprint Cup series as a Pro-Am team.

The GT World Challenge Europe: a renowned competition

In 2022, the DLC One racing team has decided to compete in the GT World Challenge Europe. This motor racing championship is organised by SRO Motorsports Group. It consists of 10 races divided equally between the Endurance Cup and the Sprint Cup. Each event involves two races over a weekend with two drivers per car and a mandatory pit stop.

Between modernity and competition, the GT World Challenge Europe is at the forefront of international motor racing. E-sports races, for example, are organised during each event. A driver is designated as a virtual driver by each participating team and he has the possibility to award championship points to his team if he wins.

Races aboard the Ferrari 488 GT3 for the new Gold Cup

Alessandro Balzan is used to driving a Ferrari and will be the Gold driver of the crew.
